PAKARI TMD

Truitt & White also offer Pakari TMD, or Thermally Modified Decking. TMD is wood that is brought to an extremely high temperature making it more durable and lighter compared to ordinary decking. It has been used throughout Europe and Asia for more than 30 years and is now available in North America.

Pakari TMD withstands water absorption, preventing it from shrinking and swelling. The lumber is sourced from environmentally responsible plantations located in New Zealand and is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.

TMD is put through a process of extreme heat that makes it built to last and resistent from decay and insects. With the extreme process the wood goes through, TMD is also chemical-free compared to composite decking. The wood is comfortable and convenient with a ribbed face design for better grip and comfort for bare feet, and is also smooth enough for seating applications.
