Truitt & White Salutes Jim Rossi

James (Jim) Rossi joined the Truitt & White family in the mid-1990s in the window sales division. Over the course of 20 years he became one of the most successful and well-liked employees in the long history of our family-run business.

Beloved by both clients and fellow employees, Rossi was instrumental in launching the Outside Sales Group. Working alongside Jack Lamon, Rossi saw the group grow to eight full-time sales people, breaking record levels of Marvin sales volume.

A San Francisco native, Rossi came out of retirement two years ago to rejoin the outside sales team in a part-time capacity. In June 2019, at age 75, Rossi left Truitt & White again to be closer to his current hometown of Guerneville, where he lives with his wife Jeannine, plays golf and leads a local project to refurbish St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church.

Looking back on his long tenure at Truitt & White, Rossi said the favorite part of his job centered around the close relationships with clients and fellow employees.

Rossi believes his job was made easier by the clientele T&W developed. “Their contractors are the best and most respected,” he said.

Rossi remembers being in serious competition for contracts, and many times the final decision came down to “the reputation we had established. Not to say we didn’t work hard for the opportunity.”
