Truitt & White’s free online BuilderLink™ clinics in April were a huge success and great opportunity for participants to see this powerful online tool in action.
BuilderLink is an online estimating tool designed for professional builders and remodelers. It connects pro-builders, in real-time, to thousands of products and related product information in Truitt & White’s inventory. The online clinic is designed as a tutorial to teach participants how to use BuilderLink and guides them through the software’s features from the convenience of their home, office or wherever they have Internet and phone service.
“These online clinics are an opportunity for Truitt & White customers who are not currently BuilderLink subscribers to be exposed to the program and see first hand exactly what it’s capable of doing for them,” says Drummond Evans, BuilderLink’s Training Specialist.
During online clinics, about a dozen participants are able to view from their computer an online account controlled by Evans. He demonstrates various tools and features, answers questions and conducts specific searches and maneuvers requested by participants.
“All the participants in the April clinics commented that BuilderLink was easy to use and straight forward, even though none of them had prior experience with the program,” notes Evans. “Several indicated that it would be very useful to them, and they plan on signing up for a subscription.” As a bonus, workshop participants qualify for a special discounted one-year subscription rate.
Since BuilderLink debuted a year ago, a growing legion of Truitt & White customers have discovered the convenience, money and time-saving benefits of online estimating. “We’ve seen a steady increase in clinic sign-up during this first year,” notes Mark Pearsall, vice president sales and marketing at Truitt & White. “As builders and contractors hear about the service and compare notes, they become curious and want to see BuilderLink for themselves.”
Building on the success of the April online BuilderLink clinics Evans says in the near future regular monthly clinics will be scheduled. “If a Truitt & White customer can’t attend particular date, there’s no need to sweat. Another one will be offered the next month,” says Evans.
