Green Building Roundtable

Forum looks at where green building is headed along with Truitt and White’s role

In an effort to help us serve pro builder customers better, last month Truitt and White held green building roundtables to gauge what builder-customers were seeing on the horizon for green building and how better to provide green and sustainable products and services to them.

Ed Young, Canyon Construction, a long-time Truitt and White customer, says the roundtable enabled him to see how big green building has become in the past few years and where his peers see it going.

Mark Pearsall, Truitt and White’s vice president, sales and marketing, says Truitt and White’s involvement over the past few years includes responding to the growing opportunity of sustainable building.

The roundtables consisted of builders representing companies of different sizes and types that are all NARI Certified Green Building Professionals, including custom residential builders to smaller remodelers.

The roundtable also let Truitt and White respond to the pro builder’s product and service needs while getting a broad opinion of the momentum that has been building. Understanding how demand for products has changed and grown is key to being in the best position to serve the pro builder customer.

The input and questions offered by all the participants was of great value. “I think we had answers for them and communicated that we care enough about their enthusiasm for building green to want to support their changing needs,” Mark adds.

“Truitt and White is always interested in knowing what more they can do for the green industry,” adds Ed. “That means a lot to us as a customer.”
