The New "No Leak Skylight" Available at Truitt & White
Velux, a leader in the skylight category for several decades, is introducing a redesigned version of its flagship product – the No Leak Skylight – and Truitt & White will be among the first building suppliers to offer the new brand.
Launched in January 2010, the No Leak Skylight directly answers the top concerns among pro builders and homeowners – that skylights are difficult to work with and will leak if not properly installed. The No Leak Skylight has been specifically reconfigured to offer simpler installation procedures and greater protection against water penetration.
"The Velux No Leak Skylight will save the pro builder valuable time on the installation," said Velux representative Mike Price. "The redesigned product provides the confidence that there will be no call backs."
Improved Features and the No Leak Promise
Velux is backing the new product with a "No Leak Promise" product warranty and an industry-first 10-year installation warranty.
New product features include:
- A 3rd layer of water protection with patent-pending Velux "Deck Seal" that provides air and water barrier for leak-proof installation.
- Advanced Lo E3 glass for better energy efficiency, higher visible light transmittance and improved solar heat gain performance.
- Pre-painted frames and sashes to eliminate need for secondary high-cost trips.
- Pre-mounted Pick-a-Click™ system brackets for quick installation of sunscreen blinds.
- Advanced silicone glazing sealant around glass and frame connection.
- Lower profile and enhanced architectural design.
- New gray color – the top choice of consumers and builders to blend with most roof shapes and colors.
