Business Seminars for the Professional Builder

Navigating the challenges of running a construction company can be a daunting day-to-day task, and it’s easy to get distracted from big-picture planning. To help contractors effectively address these challenges, Truitt & White is offering the Tools for Success seminar series, which give professional builders timely and valuable information on running, managing, and marketing a successful construction company. The two half-day symposiums, led by experienced industry specialists, are ideal for those just beginning to establish their construction ventures, as well as seasoned owners and managers wanting to sharpen their skills.

The first seminar, The Successful Construction Company: Surviving Lean Times (February 7, 2009), illustrates the fundamentals of solid business planning and clear operational strategy. Led by industry specialist Paul Winans, this workshop will help attendees implement essential organizational principles and efficiency systems, touching on topics like job costing, profit projections, and proposal presentations that are vital to the prosperity of their companies.

The second seminar, Honing the Crucial Skills of Marketing and Communication (February 28, 2009), features three construction experts discussing the critical subjects of marketing and client relations. Greg Stine, CEO of Polaris-Inc and 20-year marketing veteran of the construction industry, will share his knowledge on generating new business and establishing brand in a tight economy. Co-presenters Tim and Elaine Jones, principals of T Russell Jones Construction, will focus on the art of client management, with particular emphasis on the power of clear communication to satisfy customers and generate new business.

Designed to give professional builders a strategic advantage, the Tools for Success seminars are a valuable addition to any construction company’s effort to achieve success in a complicated marketplace.
