EPA Lead Safety Compliance Training
Beginning in April 2010, federal law requires that contractors performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities, and schools built before 1978 must be certified and follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination. Full execution of the new EPA rule is in-place and with fines established at $32,500, it's important to get trained ASAP.
Who Needs Certification:
- Firms that perform renovation activities
- Individuals who perform renovation activities
- Currently certified lead abatement supervisors and workers
